Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend.
We did the usual...shopping:)
The rain stopped us from a day trip to Vermont, but we were just there last weekend anyway:) Below is a picture of Lake Champlain with the Adirondack Mountains in the background. It was so lovely.
Our main reason for going to Vermont last week was an Antique and Classic car show in Stowe. Have you ever seen a car with a record player in the dashboard?
Raise your hand if you actually know what a 'record player' is! :)
Since we usually have to do our food shopping on weekends, I was so happy to find a great Natural Foods store right on the same road as the show:) We stopped on the way home for a much needed cold coconut water and a few pantry essentials. If you find yourself in Waterbury Center, Vermont make sure to stop by Sunflower Natural Foods.
The store was very well stocked,
and so neat and clean with a very friendly staff:) There was even a sweet play nook upstairs for the little ones:)
Don't you wish you were 4 or 5 again?
My recent post, Raw Pantry Essentials, showed a few pictures from one of my usual places to shop. But sometimes, a 'special ingredient' can only be found online.
I recently ordered Heathy's Moonie Pie ebook (they look amazing btw), and noticed that I didn't have one of the ingredients. Hmmm...as well stocked as my favorite store is, they do not carry this one special ingredient. A quick online search for it brought me to NutsOnline.
My order was placed on Monday, and the box arrived at my door Tuesday afternoon, less than 24 hours later! What a pleasant surprise:) Everything looked great!
NutsOnline has a huge selection of organic and raw products, as well as hundreds of other products.
While checking out their blog, I was thrilled to see they had linked up to my Sprouting Chia seeds post:) Thanks NutsOnline!
So, I am very excited to tell you NutsOnline has generously offered one of you* a chance to try 2 of their products!
One pound of Organic Chia Seeds, and one pound of Raw Organic Hemp Seeds! YAY!!!!!

By the way, I meant to say: Thank you for the give away, what a lovely idea!
I would love to try making muffins with their flax seeds and one of the dried fruits (like cherries or blueberries). Or a pizza with some sun-dried tomatoes.
I'm on a diet to gain weight, I've been underweight for years. That wouldn't be a problem, but I really want to gain healthy weight, which is probably just as hard as losing weight. Nuts are one of the best sources of fat that is actually HEALTHY for you.
I can't really go out of my way to get stuff like chia seeds because I still don't have a job (like many Americans) and sometimes you just have to settle for not having stuff or you won't get other stuff.
What would I make with them? More experimental recipes than anything, like 90% of my cooking. But I think they'd be really great in the fudge I make!
-Thank you~
I just saw their Maple Mesquite Pod Walnuts and drooled. I tried a salad at a sushi place in Missouri with mixed greens, an entire ripe avocado, glazed walnuts, sunflower seeds and a ginger-carrot dressing. It was DIVINE and I'd love to replicate it with those maple mesquite walnuts. :-)
Oh, yay! I subscribed. :)
And I'd like to try the hemp protein powder, I'd put it in my green smoothies for sure!
Hemp, hemp, hemp! I love Nutsonline (I buy from them a LOT) and would love to try Hemp Seeds. I have two recipes I'd like to try out

YUM!!!!! I joined the mailing list, and a fan on facebook! I would really love the chance to try the dry roasted unsalted almonds, the supreme sized ones sounds like a dream. In my heart I could never, ever cook them! The best treat in the world is snacking on almonds and relaxing with a vegan glass of wine. That is my treat every week!
Um, ALL OF IT! It alllllll looks so good! But especially the maca, which I've been dying to try in my daily green smoothies. =)
I would love to try the raw cacao almonds and raisins or the Turkish figs, but just as they are - I wouldn't make anything with them
But for something I would make into a dish, it would have to be the organic pecans as I am in the mood for a peach pie with a pecan crust.

I would love to try their Macadamia nuts. I would make a Macadamia nut Key Lime Pie - yum!
Oh, I've been to that health food store! Last summer we were in Stowe for a wedding. I bought a few raw food bars there, was very excited they carried them.
I checked out the website and can't decided between maca or the vitacherry powder and the organic mulberries. Each of them would be perfect in my smoothies or chia pudding bowls or putting into whatever else I could imagine.
I would love to try their raw pistachios. Thanks for this giveaway.
http://www.nutsonline.com/nuts/pistachios/raw-no-shell.html
I really want to try the Organic Red Maca Powder. I quit smoking a few months back and started to regularly exercise and lift weights. I have read that Maca helps with energy as well as recovery after a tough workout. It would be great to put it in one of the raw smoothies that I make during recovery.

Their website is amazing! And their raw selection is fantastic. I think that I would take some of their raw macadamia nuts to make some sweet raw vanilla icing for some raw carrot cake. Other than that I would love to try some of their raw nut flours, I loved creating new recipes with them! Thanks for a great post!
Oh and definitely subscribed to the newsletter! :)
They all sound so tasty. How about coconut and cocoa and blueberries and grade b maple syrup? Let them stand out for a night, so that the syrup hardens with the shaped mixture and you get a nice breakfast and served on a lillypad. Have a salad of kale, green onions, beansprouts, stone chopped walnuts all in a cabbage leaf. Also squeeze your own juices from ripe and tart fruits and make a cup out of twine and add groundwater with the maple syrup to reconstitute sugars.
I truly love mother nature <3 I often romanticize how I wish to mail someone by pigeon or other carrier bird or the light of a flame on a wax candle or even paper made out of hemp. Ink from a squid, and a feather from a bird. I don't have any such luxuries sadly :( I would love a home in a cavern too or underground, or cob since the earth is the truest eco-friendly and warmest place to live in. It's the earth afterall x3
